Lots of vegetables at the Farmer’s Market today – summer is here in Memphis. Yellow squash and zucchini, eight-ball and yeDSC_0323llow ball squash, cherry tomatoes of all colors,  and lettuces, but tDSC_0338he early greens are mostly gone. Flowers are coming in – zinnias and sunflowers and lot of others. I’m heading out on a road trip next week, so didn’t want to get too carried away, but dDSC_0341id get tomatoes, lettuces, squash, new red potatoes and what is probably the very last of the strawberries. Peaches were in….but I didn’t think they’d be ripe enough to eat before I left.

And eggs…beautiful eggs in red-speckled browns, pale greens and blues, and cream colors.

It seems a shame to break them, but I think I will have a frittata for supper with potatoes, squash, onions, and cheese.
